An experienced growth company leader, Sri joined Inscripta as President and CEO in October 2020. Prior to that, Sri was President of Penumbra (NYSE: PEN), a global healthcare company focused on innovative therapies. Sri joined Penumbra in 2015, serving as CFO and Head of Strategy until his promotion to President in 2019. Earlier in his career, he spent 16 years at J.P. Morgan serving as Head of Healthcare and co-Head of Technology Equity Capital Markets working with emerging, high-growth life science and technology companies.

Sri currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nevro (NYSE: NVRO) and 10x Genomics (Nasdaq: TXG), where he is also Chair of the Audit Committee. He is on the Board of the non-profit Testing for America.

He holds a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Atulya has over 30 years of executive and leadership experience in the biotechnology industry and serves as Inscripta’s Chief Legal Officer. Prior to Inscripta, Atulya held positions at PACT Pharma as its Chief Legal and Business Strategy Officer; Genentech as its Head of IP Licensing and Business Strategy; and Elan Pharmaceuticals as its Chief Intellectual Property Officer. Atulya also previously served as a law partner at Dickstein Shapiro LLP.

Atulya received a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Boston University School of Medicine and a B.S. in Biochemistry from The Pennsylvania State University.

Two decades of experience and innovation at the intersections of mathematics, computation, statistics, and biology. Deep expertise with the theory and application of machine intelligence (particularly in complex, high dimensional settings) to drive the rapid optimization of biological systems.

Richard received his PhD in Nuclear Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and his BS degree in Nuclear Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara.

Ted is an accomplished executive and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in therapeutics, diagnostics, and industrial synthetic biology. He co-founded Sestina and served as CTO, leading the development of new technologies combining ultra-high throughput measurement systems, high dimensional data generation and advanced computational tools. Prior to Sestina, he served in executive management/​leadership roles at iCarbonX, HealthTell, Vanquish Oncology (Founder), Tethys Biosciences, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Invenux Pharmaceuticals (Founder) and NeXstar Pharmaceuticals. Ted joined Inscripta as CTO in 2022 as part of the Sestina Bio acquisition.

Ted received his PhD in Organic Chemistry from The Scripps Research Institute and his BS degree in Chemistry from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Summa Cum Laude).

An experienced R&D leader, Andrew joined Inscripta as Vice President, Synbio Products in December 2022 as part of the acquisition of Sestina Bio. At Sestina, Andrew established and managed the R&D effort, working with a talented team to develop a manufacturing-focused technical thesis and platform. Prior to that, Andrew spent a decade leading R&D efforts at Demetrix and Amyris.

Andrew holds a PhD from Harvard Medical School, was a Jane Coffin Childs Postdoctoral Fellow, and has a BA from Pomona College.

With almost 20 years experience in management, operations, marketing, and sports medicine, Carrie has a passion for helping others and keeping business operations moving effectively and efficiently. Prior to her experience at Inscripta, she has worked at Codexis and Notable Labs in Operations roles.

She holds a Masters of Science from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Mike joined Inscripta in July 2021 with a long record of successful tech sector financial management and reporting. A licensed CPA, Mike has successfully led four previous companies through the IPO filing process, including 10x Genomics in 2019. While at 10x Genomics, he was responsible for scaling the finance and accounting organization from pre-revenue to global manufacturing and sales operations. Mike brings a unique blend of controllership, budgeting, mergers and acquisitions, taxation and strategic finance experience having worked in environments ranging from early-stage private equity backed companies to Fortune 50 and Global 10 companies.

John Stuelpnagel has been Chairman of Inscripta since March 2017. He cofounded and was Executive Chairman of Ariosa from 2010 to 2015 when the company was acquired by Roche. He was also the Chairman of Sequenta from 2010 to 2015 when that company was merged with Adaptive Biotechnologies where he continues as a member of the board.

John cofounded Illumina, Inc. and was instrumental in making Illumina one of the most successful life science companies. During his 12 years at Illumina, John served as the company’s first CEO and most recently as COO. Prior to Illumina, John was a venture capitalist at CW Group.

John received his B.S. in Biochemistry and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis and his M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Kristala has served on the board of directors since December 2021. She brings years of experience and deep expertise in synthetic biology, with a distinguished scientific background, and a thoughtful perspective on the field.

Kristala is currently the Arthur D. Little Professor and Executive Officer of the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT. Her research interests are centered on the design and assembly of recombinant microorganisms for the production of small molecules, with additional efforts in novel bioprocess design approaches. Prior to joining the faculty of MIT, she spent 4 years in BioProcess Research and Development at Merck Research Labs (Rahway, NJ).

Prather has been the recipient of many awards including the Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award (2005), a Technology Review ​“TR35” Young Innovator Award (2007), a National Science Foundation CAREER Award (2010), the Biochemical Engineering Journal Young Investigator Award (2011), the Charles Thom Award of the Society for Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology (2017), and the Andreas Acrivos Award for Professional Progress in Chemical Engineering (AIChE, 2021). Additional honors include selection as the Van Ness Lecturer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2012), as a Fellow of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study (2014−2015), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS; 2018), the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE; 2020), and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE; 2020). Prather has been recognized for excellence in teaching with the C. Michael Mohr Outstanding Faculty Award for Undergraduate Teaching in the Dept. of Chemical Engineering (2006, 2016), the MIT School of Engineering Junior Bose Award for Excellence in Teaching (2010), and through appointment as a MacVicar Faculty Fellow (2014), the highest honor given for undergraduate teaching at MIT.
She holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B. S. in Chemical Engineering from MIT.

Bryan has served on the board of directors since March of 2017. He joined Venrock as a Kauffman Fellow in 1997 and is based in Venrock’s Palo Alto office focusing on a broad range of healthcare investments. He was named a Henry Crown Fellow by the Aspen Institute in 2006 and is the only healthcare investor to rank on Forbes’ Midas List six times, 2008 – 2014.

Bryan is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Achaogen, Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, and Kyruus and also serves on the board of several other companies, including 10X Genomics, Doctor on Demand, Grand Rounds, Intarcia, and Zeltiq. His past investments include Ariosa Diagnostics (acquired by Roche), Athenahealth, CodeRyte, Ikaria (acquired by Madison Dearborn), Illumina, and Sirna Therapeutics (acquired by Merck).

Bryan received his Ph.D. in Chemistry & Chemical Biology from Harvard University and his B.A. from Dartmouth College.

Roger is a Managing Partner of Spruce Capital Partners and BAR Capital Management. He cofounded Spruce Capital Partners which currently serves as the co-manager of Malaysian Life Sciences Capital Fund (MLSCF) and MLS Capital Fund II. Roger also has over 30 years of experience as an internationally recognized scientist and Dean at two major research universities: Rutgers and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

He currently serves on the boards of Amfora, Evolve BioSystems, Pivot Bio, Lanzatech and Segetis and is a member of the International Advisory Panel for Biotechnology (BioIAP) and the Global Science and Innovation Advisory Council (GSIAC) for the Prime Minister of Malaysia, as well as a member of the EU-based Knowledge Economy Network Advisory Board, among others.

Roger received a BS degree in Agronomy from Ohio State University and a PhD in Plant Physiology from Michigan State University.
