Inscripta Named Colorado Company of The Year

The Rockies and the Flatirons have provided beautiful and inspiring backdrops at our Boulder base, and the Colorado spirit of sustainability and innovation has meshed well with our ethos to be bold, act responsibly and inspire others.

So we were delighted to be named Company of the Year by Colorado Bioscience Association. The award, presented at a virtual event on December 9, was accepted on our behalf by one of our talented scientists, Charlie Johnson. Charlie has been with us almost from the beginning and has been instrumental in the development of our OnyxTM benchtop digital genome engineering platform.

We were in great company. Other Company of the Year finalists included STAQ Pharma and LightDeck Diagnostics. Fellow Boulder winners included Edgewise Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing orally bioavailable, small molecule therapies for musculoskeletal diseases, as Rising Star of the Year.

Jennifer Jones Paton, president and CEO of the Colorado Bioscience Association, noted the more than 720 health innovators in Colorado who have “embraced change to catalyze discoveries and fuel growth” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Congratulations to our honorees, finalists and award winners. They inspire us with their passion and dedication to driving innovation forward,” she added.

It was another feather in the cap for Inscripta, in what has turned out to be a great end of the year, with a Top 10 Innovation award from The Scientist.

Our sincere thanks to the Colorado Bioscience Association for the honor. We look forward to representing the Colorado spirit of innovation as we commercialize our Onyx platform and future products and advocate for the bioeconomy in 2021.
